Dear BF was working from home today and he said some religious nuts came to the door and were pounding on our front door. They pounded once and Dear BF was confused as to who could be at the door at that time of day. (We seldom/never get surprise guests.) He went to our guest bedroom to see what could be seen and they had parked their mini van in our driveway. They pounded a second time and then he said as if it sounded like they were trying to open the door. He looked at the door to see some paper being slipped in between the door and the jamb. I know people get religious visits all the time, but this one is particularly annoying to me for the following reasons:
1. We have a doorbell. Why pound on the door if there's a doorbell?
2. We live on a flag lot and when you park your damn minivan in our driveway, this would prevent us from oh, I don't know, say rushing to the hospital if need be. This is the same complaint I have with our neighbors. Sometimes they park so that we can only barely get our cars (both compacts) through. What happens when our house catches on fire and these religious nuts are taking up the driveway, thereby not allowing the fire truck access to our house? Oh, I forgot to mention, when they had given up on our house, they LEFT THEIR MINIVAN in our driveway, to go and bug our other neighbors.
How arrogant do you have to be about your make-beliefs that you act like this? Ugh! I wish Dear BF had called the police on them for leaving their van in our driveway. Or, perhaps go with his first instinct which was to run down the steps and open the door and yell, "What the fuck?" to their lack of manners.
